Taken Under a Wing: The Learning Journey
First off, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of being taken under the wing of a phenomenal teacher, and I’m so thirsty for knowledge. While I may feel like I’m way ahead of the game in my mind, I’m fully aware there’s still so much to learn—and I want to learn it all. What excites me most is that I can finally see my dream starting to come together. I’ve found something that not only feels like a natural fit but also fills all those creative and personal needs, allowing me to feel like I’m genuinely accomplishing something meaningful.
From Noob to Building a Brand
This whole journey began with the Firefighter Challenge Championships, and wow—what a wild ride it has been! We built an entire brand from the ground up, and honestly, the experience has been mind-blowing. I know that might sound dramatic, but when I think about how giant of a task it was, especially as someone new to this part of graphic design, it really hits home.
The amount of knowledge I’ve soaked up ranges from organizing details (something I thought I was already pretty good at) to really honing in on the tiniest aspects of design. I’ve learned that I’m capable of way more than I gave myself credit for, and I’ve uncovered confidence in areas where I used to have doubts. But I’ve also discovered some flaws—ones that I’m eager to work on so I can grow into a better version of myself.
Reflection on the Journey
Looking back now, I honestly wish I had been blogging through the whole experience. But the truth is, I was so laser-focused on the project that I didn’t have the bandwidth for it. Now that I can reflect, though, I’m grateful for everything I’ve learned and for how much we’ve achieved.
The branding turned out amazing—far beyond what I ever imagined. Every piece looks professional and polished, thanks to the incredible work of the team here at MUSETECH. Being part of this team, alongside such talented and dedicated people, has been a game-changer. Together, we’ve brought this vision to life, and I couldn’t be more proud of the website we built and all the products we created.
What’s Next? Watching It All Come to Life
At this moment, we’re handing off the project to the organization, and while we’ll continue updating and maintaining everything, the hardest work has been done. Now, I get to sit back and watch our work shine—literally—at the Firefighter Challenge Championships. Seeing our designs on TV is going to be surreal, and I couldn’t be more thrilled!
